Many services are available to anyone regardless of financial status and are free of charge.

Some clinics have financial guidelines and reasonable fees based on the cost of providing the service.

Services

Immunizations

Immunizations are provided free for infants children, and adults. Infants and children immunizations are given on Mondays. International travel immunizations information is also available. Minimal charges do apply for some adult vaccines.

Flu Vaccine

Tuberculosis Testing

TB skin test are given every day of the week then clinic is open except on Thursdays. Free medication and follow-up is also provided.

Prescribed Injections

Regular prescribed injections for individuals are provided on a physician's referral.

Blood Sugar & Blood Pressure Monitoring

Available on a walk-in basis.

Cholesterol Screening

Available by appointment. Minimal charges do apply.

Pregnancy Testing

Available on a walk-in basis. Charges apply.

Temporary Medicaid

Provided for prenatal clients who are financially eligible.

Health Education

Health education programs are provided to the community. A wide range of information and resources are available on health, nutrition, and safety.

Environmental Health Services

Includes routine inspections of temporary and permanent food establishments, lodging and licensed daycares. Private water supply test kits available. On-site sewage plan and site evaluation. Investigation of food and septic complaints.

Communicable Disease Control & Reporting

Assist state officials in disease identification, medication, and follow-up and data reporting of numerous conditions affecting the county residents.

Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Testing, treatment, education programs and follow-ups are provided. Other testing is available be referral.

Referrals

Referrals to appropriate agencies for health care are provided to residents whose special needs can not be met by the Stoddard County Public Health Center.

Lead Screening

Available for children aged six months to six years by appointment.

Women, Infant & Children (WIC) Nutrition Education & Food Supplement Program

The program provides nutrition education as well as selected nutritional foods for pregnant or breastfeeding women, infants and children to age five who have a medical or nutritional risk through assessment. Financial guidelines apply.

Family Planning

Provides examination of the female reproductive system, breast exams, pap test, various methods of birth control, education, and referrals. Provided by a Registered Nurse Practitioner to women 13 years aof age and older.

Show-Me Health Women

Women age 35 and older receive no cost pap test, pelvic, and breast exam (mammogram @ age 50). Financial guidelines apply.

Case Management

Eligible high risk prenatal, infants and children with special health care needs will receive assistance in gaining access to needed services.

Vital Records

The Stoddard County Public Health Center serves as the center for vital information for data, statistics, and assessments for the county. Birth and Death certificates are available on-site. Birth certificates are $15 cash only. Death certificates are $13 for 1st copy, $10 for additional copies.
