Immunizations

Immunizations are vaccines that prevent illness, especially in children.  Childhood vaccinations are given at no cost to all residents of Stoddard County.  These include immunizations for those entering school or an adult in need of a Tetanus and Diphtheria booster.  Each parent or guardian must present the child's shot record and social security number.  For residents under the age of 18, a parent or guardian, or a note from them, is needed for them to receive their immunizations.  For anyone receiving vaccine(s), a shot record and medical card (if applicable) needs to be presented before shots can be administered.  For a list of available vaccines, please ask a nurse.

  • Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccinations are available to adults at a minimal fee.

  • Flu shots are given once a year at the Health Center and various places in the county.

  • Prevnar & Chicken Pox vaccine are available

  • For maximum safety and effectiveness, childhood vaccine doses should follow the recommended childhood immunization schedule for the U.S.

  • Your doctor has a plan for giving each child all the vaccines according to the details of the schedule, and according to any special needs.
